Hey schiavone and gang! I saw you guys on LBI last weekend and was awed my
your excellence. I danced and danced and danced (you probably saw me - I
was
the one with the curly hair up on the balcony). And despite the fact that I
was about 10 years older than anyone else there (I had read about you in the
local paper and, recalling my "The Specials" days, made a point to go just
to
check you out), I had a blast!!!
PROMOTERS READ HERE TODAY: I'm hoping to see you TONIGHT at the Lion's
Den,
and I've been telling lots of people to go, but I don't know what TIME you
guys are going on (and everyone wants to know to figure out their plans) and
I called the place but they didn't know, they said I had to ask the
promoters. So if you could please please email me back today!!!!
Rrrbg@aol.com. I actually might not make it because my NECK went out
last
night in a dance class -- and if I can't dance/move/bop, I might need to
stay
away -- your music is too contagious and I'm sure I won't be able to contain
myself in stillness....I'm bummed though you won't be back in NYC again this
summer --- If I don't see you tonight, PLEASE come back to NYC SOOOOOON.
Looking forward to watching you guys soar the charts!!!!

greetings fellow bobster!
just wanted to let you know I liked the page. but i was
wondering... am i the only one who noticed that "shattered and torn" is a
remake/re-release from the first album, or am i the only one who cares? I
like the old (bob 001) studio version better than the one on "forever=1
day," which probably explains a lot. i've been a fan of the band since feb
of '90, and have been waiting for them to hit the big time since '91, when i
bought their first cd. it's a good thing cd's are durable--that disk has
had more playing time than any other one i own. followed closely by
shish-ska-bob, no stopping, and forever. when i finally get "Hello,
Cleveland" it may surpass them all, because gravity is best live (the
general consensus among my sorrority sisters and our men). enough babbling
on my part, keep up the good work, and if i get any interesting info from
them the next time they're at tech, i'll pass it on.
peace, love and bob-ness, keep jumping

I saw the group a night ago in Boston, they put on a fantastic show and had
the club jumping. Even though they did kick butt with killer sound i did
happen to notice that Eric Lawson was not there. Do you happen to know why
he wasnt there?
Thaks,
Tom G
I've made numerous attempts to contact the band formerly known as BoB at fgravity@delphi.com. The band I was in at VaTech from '83 to '87 used to open for, mix for, and, maybe at least once, close for them when only the two current Daves were in the band out of the current lineup. Hell, back then we thought Ska was some hiddeous perversion of Reggae and Polka.
Anyhoo, I've been to see the band at the Bayou at Va Beach numerous times and always got a word with Tree, saw them open for Dave Matthews at TPP in Norfolk to a crowd that eventually grew to about 13,000, went to the Sugar Bowl with Tree's kid's godfather from Long Island and about 30 other close friends, sent at least four e-mails over the past year to the aforementioned address ( Subj: Congrats on the Rolling Stone article/got the last copy of BoB ShishSkaBoB @ Planet Music in Va Beach...What'd Tree think of the "Andy Harrell Project" disc I did myself...various Band schedules since I got in a band with a Bus Too Dammit!!...and Jeez, Dave Matthews showed up at our gig the other night and we talked him into singin' What Would You Say with us...) What's it take for these guys to e-mail a reply?
Still love the music!!!

I just wanted to say that I love Fighting Gravity. Shish-Ska-Bob is my favorite album and Holiday is my fave song. I have seen them 6 time in about the past 6 or 7 months and they are GREAT! I am very proud of my hometown band...Yep, I'm a fellow Richmonder and FG's Flood Zone shows are wonderful! I just wanted to let the band know that they should do some shows at Friday Cheers this summer so that they can be FREE!! Thanx for the great music...I love you guys!
not only are fighting gravity an awesome band, but the members are so fly! those of us in richmond,va can see them twice a year for free at a place called Friday Cheers where they play for the hometown crowd. speaking of which, this year they'll play Midlothian High School in Midlothian,Va (near to richmond) prom! i kid you not! these people are playing my prom! some of the members graduated from local high schools in this area. i guess i'm pretty lucky.
p.s. another interesting fact, my brother's best friend's sister is married to the sax player. he came to my bro's 5th grade graduation strange isn't it???
I know the boy from their earlydays playing Fraternity parties at VCU, actually went to mddle school w Chris Leitch..I remember driving from VCU 2 Va Tech from a raod trip, me and 2 of my brothers..During the entire ride their we drank Country Club malt liquor and played "Walk With Me".(it was a 4 hour trip)..Kudos guys..your getting their
Alright!!!! Hey its great to see all the FG fans...get them up North! As a native of Richmond, I can say that I've seen Mike Boyd the drummer in his spider man pajamas (he's my cousin!) -
Keep up the good work - Its great to see that they are still going strong - I luv 'em!

Hi!
I run the fighting gravity internet mailing list known as The Center of Gravity. The band, thier crew and some local radio station DJ's are on the list. I was wondering if you would link the list's web site to your page. We are trying to increase membership and I would appreciate your help.
For more info on the list and for your viewing pleasure check out Mailing List
Thanks
